Description

The United Nations Service Medal for Korea is a symbol of the dedication, professionalism, and bravery of the military personnel from the countries that formed the United Nations Command during the Korean War. It is a testament to their vital role in defending South Korea and restoring peace and security in the region. This medal can also be awarded to personnel who served in adjacent areas such as Japan or Okinawa, who were operating under the command of the UN or supporting UN operations.

Design

The medal is made of a bronze alloy, depicting the emblem of the UN - the "World in a Wreath". Inscribed on the reverse is "For service in defence of the principles of the charter of the United Nations". The clasp with the inscription "Korea" comes attached to the medal and ribbon.

Ribbon

By doing so, the medals are given proper recognition and are displayed in a neat and organized fashion.
