Description

The Navy & Marine Corps Commendation Medal is awarded to members of the U.S. Armed Forces, who have demonstrated acts of heroism, significant achievements, or meritorious service while serving with the U.S. Navy or Marine Corps. Additionally, the medal can be awarded to military personnel from an allied nation who have distinguished themselves through acts of heroism, extraordinary achievement, or notable meritorious service that has been mutually beneficial to both the United States and the allied nation.

Design

The medal is a bronze pentagon shape, with an eagle with raised wings in the centre. The eagle clutches crossed arrows and bears a shield on its chest.

Ribbon

The accompanying silk ribbon is a dark green, with thick white stripes running parallel to the edge of the ribbon.

Unmounted Medals

If you order your medal unmounted, the medal and ribbon will be supplied as separate components. Miniature medals will be supplied with 15cm of ribbon and full size medals will be supplied with 30cm of ribbon.
