The Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) – Military Division is awarded to commissioned officers of the armed forces for distinguished service of a high order. It recognises leadership, commitment, and contribution at a senior level within the military structure.
The medal is a cross patonce in silver-gilt, with pale blue enamel and a circular centre featuring the effigy of the reigning monarch. The reverse bears the royal cypher and the motto of the Order, “For God and the Empire”. It is suspended from a ring and military-style ribbon, and includes a silver-gilt laurel wreath to distinguish military awards. Replicas are marked with the word “COPY”.
The ribbon is rose pink with narrow pearl grey edges. The military division includes an additional narrow central stripe of pearl grey. The colours represent dignity, service, and loyalty.

SPECIFICATIONS:If you order your medal unmounted, the medal and ribbon will be supplied as separate components. Miniature medals will be supplied with 15cm of ribbon and full size medals will be supplied with 30cm of ribbon.
